I’m selling “Letters” through a local zine distro called Profanity Hill, which is run by Jason T. Miles.
He put together some stuff for Bumbershoot, which is happening this weekend, here in Seattle. I’m not really sure what to expect, besides this awesome wall. It’s free from 10am-7pm on Friday. So I’ll probably go over there before PAX?

I’m proud to announce that Profanity Hill is a part of the Larry Reid curated show: Counterculture Comix: A 30 Year Survey of Seattle Alternative Cartoonists.
From what I spied, all the art shows at this year’s Bumbleshoot (that’s what my Grandpa call’s it) are worth checking out. And if you don’t want to drop the coin then Friday 9/3 is your day because that’s the day when all the Bummershoot art show’s are free to the public from 10AM to 7PM.

My name is Jason T. Miles and I make zines. Growing up in Seattle during the ‘90s, I became aware of zines (and more!) thanks to local area cultural bureaus Fallout (RIP) and Confounded Books (RIP). As 2009 became 2010 I decided to start a Seattle area zine distro because I was tired of hearing myself complain about the lack of zine visibility in Seattle. The name Profanity Hill comes from and is a tribute to the book by Irene Burns Miller, which was published in Everett by Working Press in 1979 (the year I was born! It’s a great book! I highly recommend it!). Profanity Hill is also one of the many nicknames for Yesler Way… but I digress. The goal of MY Profanity Hill is to offer a portrait, marketplace and gateway for Seattle’s zine community, old and new.
